I received the item in about 4 days, although no shipping and tracking information was provided, it just showed up at the front door.
I have had it installed for about 3 or 4 weeks.
I qualified for a free Cargo Manager, but the process to submit was not easy. Several emails, a denial, and then told it would be a couple of months to get the item.
The closest installer was about 100 miles away, so I opted to install myself. I'm fairly handy and the process was pretty straight forward. With that being said the directions are fairly easy to follow, but have several inaccuracies. After emailing and calling RealTruck to confirm the directions were erroneous and they sent a different set of instructions that were vehicle specific I installed the cover. It took me about 2 hours, but I took my time.
The good... easy to install.
The bad.... quality control seems to be lacking. The provided stake hole covers are stuck on with an adhesive backing, but it doesn't seem to stay in place. I again called the company and they admitted that the adhesive doesn't work well when it's placed over a plastic (the Ram 1500 stake holes are plastic). it would have been a better solution if the covers actually fit into the holes, instead of being oversized with adhesive to cover them.
Then I noticed that the rubber gasket on the drivers side rail was cut about 4 inches short and frayed. I Called the company and they said that they would address it, but I'm still waiting to hear back from them and it's been about a week.
Another problem is the cover doesn't retract into the canister all the way under its own power... it falls about 12 inches short and I have to walk around the side of the truck and push it in. I again Called the company and they suggested using a can of 303 UV protectant to lubricate the rails. I tried this, but doesn't seem to fix the problem.
Finally, I keep the cover locked because I keep a few hand tools in the bed. I have noticed that about every three days, that on the passenger side the cover keeps opening about an inch at an odd angle with the the drivers side staying closed. I can actually pull it closed, but it lets rain into the bed.
For what I paid for it, I can't say I'd buy again. Your mileage may vary.
